The FC Barcelona team has set many records and achieved great victories over their one hundred years as a club. The FC Barcelona football team has won a record of 23 titles out of a possible 38 since they began playing in regional competitions as well as won a number of notable titles thanks to help from some of the best players in the football world.

One victory that is seen as unbelievable for FC Barcelona was when they became known as the “Greatest Club in the World”. Their victory of winning the European Cup Winners’ Cup for the first time in Basal in May 1979 returned them to one of the top ranking positions of football clubs in the world. This team including names such as Bakero and Nadal, led Barca to become known as one of the biggest teams in the world.

1988-1996 FCB’s “Dream Team”: With Cruyff as the manager of FCB, the team won four consecutive Spanish League championships.

1st European title

2006: Barca wins their long awaited second European Cup title led by player Ronaldinho.

2008-2011: These times are known as the “best years in FCB history” . These years run by Josep Guardiola made the team grow more than ever and gain more recognition than ever. Guardiola based his team on youth talents and created the best Barca team ever. This team including young talents Messi and Xavi, helped produce major titles including two Champions Leagues and three Spanish Leagues. The club also won six major trophies in the year 2009. During these years, they also beat multiple records and won just about every title out there.

Victories

2011: Barcelona wins third title in six seasons. On May 28, 2011 at Wembley Stadium in London, Barceleona won their fourth Champions League title and their third title in six seasons. Major players of the game that dominated were Messi, Villa and Pedro.

Trophies

The last decade has been the most successful of all with FC Barcelona winning four La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, three Spanish Supercups, two Champions Leagues, one UEFA Supercup, and one FIFA Club World Cup.
